Grandmother Jumper’s Angel Biscuits
1 package dry yeast
2 tbsp. lukewarm water
5 cups plain flour
1 tsp. soda
3 tsp. baking powder
4 tbsp. sugar
1 tsp. salt
1 cup shortening
2 cups buttermilk
Dissolve yeast in water, sift flour and dry ingredients. Cut in shortening. Add yeast to buttermilk and mix with dry ingredients. Knead gently about 7 times. Roll out and cut about 1 1/2″ circle. Bake 15 minutes at 350 degrees.
Black Pepper Honey
1/2 cup honey
2 tsp. coarsely groud pepper
2 drops hot sauce
You will need one 8oz. package of thin-sliced ham.
Spread Black Pepper Honey in biscuit. Fill biscuit evenly with ham. Serve and Enjoy!
